Scholars studying political and social issues are confronted and challenged by new issues concerning the widespread use of the Internet, mobile devices, and social media. Along with the development of analytical tools, these subjects and issues have become accessible to researchers to explore patterns, problems, and solutions. In the face of new challenges, the lasting issues characterized and accelerated by the widespread use of Internet, how do we identify and prioritize the problems to solve? Most importantly, how do we understand the issues and extract insightful solutions to the problems?

 

The 2018 International Conference on E-society Research will be held at National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from September 14-15, 2018. Kaohsiung City is an unique place characterized by the birth of Taiwan's democratization movement in the 1980s. This conference calls for contributions from intelligent scholars from the world to meet and present works that address the following topics and issues:

  • Empowerment and Responsibility in the Internet Era

  • Methodology and Analytical Methods for Studying E-society

  • Data Mining and Pattern Recognition for Studying E-society

  • Information and Interpretation for Better Decisions and Outcomes
